Marko Cvijić / About

I hold the paint.

Marko Cvijić. Business consultant and commercial system partner in Belgrade. Owned Media Director, Senior Partner and Founder at Funky Enterprises - fifteen years across enterprise SEO, ecommerce, paid media oversight, reputation management and go-to-market, for retail, industrial, tech, government and enterprise clients.

Why the center

Nobody applauds the center.

Marko Cvijić
Center · No. 5

Every partner in the firm got a position on the floor. I am the center, number five. I hold the paint: the measurement, the attribution, the governance under everything else. A rebound never makes the highlight reel, and a blocked shot rarely decides the story anyone tells about the game.

But no offense runs without someone holding the back of it down, and no play works if the paint is open. It is the same instinct in the work. I would rather own the unglamorous layer everyone assumes is already handled, and be the person in the room who can say what a number means and then defend it when the answer is inconvenient.

Belgrade is home, and CET is the timezone I actually keep, most hours of it. Everything else on this site is a longer version of the paragraph above.

The role

What I actually do all day.

Owned Media Director, Senior Partner and Founder at Funky Enterprises. My title inside the firm is the enterprise SEO and paid media oversight executive, which in practice means I own the two things that consume the most budget and produce the most argument: what organic search is worth, and whether the ad spend can be defended.

Underneath both sits the same layer - verified measurement, honest attribution, and a governance process so it does not decay three months after handover. On top of it I build the AI-powered semi-autonomous systems that let a small team run operations that would otherwise need a department. That ordering matters: automation on an unverified data layer produces wrong decisions faster, and I have seen what that costs.

Funky Enterprises is a commercial system partner, not an agency. Five senior partners, plus six more senior specialists engaged as internal vendors - eleven senior people, and no juniors learning on a client's account. Every engagement opens with a paid audit, we own the strategy and the build, and where the model fits we would rather share in what the system produces than bill by the hour. Sharper, not bigger.

Track record

Where the numbers came from.

Fifteen years across high-traffic marketplaces, large retailers, industrial and tech firms, government entities and enterprise leaders. Different rooms, the same job in each of them.

Retail and marketplaces

Scaled organic revenue and traffic for leaders including KupujemProdajem, Bazzar, Dexy Co, Agromarket and Obuća Metro, consistently delivering 50% to 165% growth in organic performance.

Ecommerce SEO →
Enterprise and government

Strategic SEO and analytics for the World Economic Forum, Emirates Global Aluminium and the UAE Government (AML/ADQ). Environments where the reporting has to be right before it is fast.

Enterprise SEO →
Tech and enterprise

Search and performance infrastructure for Advisera (USA), Mirus (Australia) and Eone Solutions (USA), built to hold up through replatforms and market expansion.

Go-to-market →
Media and specialized verticals

Growth strategies for Pickbox, Mojeh and Balkan Bet, focused on market share and user acquisition in categories where the competition is consolidated and the margins are thin.

Teams and reputation

Led multiple cross-functional teams across markets, and ran reputation management campaigns for high-profile individuals - work where the measurement matters most and gets discussed least.

Flagship case

Two years, one integrated system.

Case · DIY & Garden · Agromarket Corporation · Bosnia & Herzegovina

From paid dependency to compounding organic growth.

A DIY and garden retailer with a technically capable store, stagnant sales and heavy paid-channel dependency. We took direct ownership of organic search and advised the in-house team across the faster channels, rather than spreading them thin across everything at once. Growth kept compounding after the launch quarter, which is the part that matters.

How to work with me

Diagnostic first, always.

Step 01

Thirty minutes, no pitch

What has stopped working, what you have tried, and what number has to move. If it is not a problem I can move, you will hear that on the call rather than in a proposal.

Step 02

A paid audit

Scoped, priced and delivered as findings you can act on with or without me. No engagement is sold before this exists, in any of the seven areas.

Step 03

A plan with an order

What changes, in what sequence, who owns each piece, what it should produce, and what we are deliberately not doing this year.

Step 04

Build, govern, hand over

We implement what we own, oversee what your team and other vendors own, report monthly against the plan, and document it so you can run it without us.
